1. Bizongo, an India-based B2B packaging company
At the end of the last month, Bizongo provided personal protective equipment to essential services like pharmacies, health centers, and hospitals. A shipment of the same material was also delivered to food suppliers by the company.
As per Sachin Agarwal, the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Bizongo, the company’s objective behind these services is to make PPE available for healthcare staff. He revealed about company’s initiatives for sourcing PPE and other critical inventory from other suppliers.
2. AquaPak, a UK-based manufacturer of polymers
Considering the need for cleanliness at healthcare centers, AquaPak has requested plastic bag producers to manufacture bags using hot water soluble Hydropol. With these bags, the company aims to ensure the safety of staff of hospitals, hotels, care homes, and households.
The bag will provide a safe and robust material to staff for isolating their used clothes. Moreover, its water-soluble characteristic will remove the need for taking clothes out of the bag while washing. This Hydropol bag will reduce the risk of getting an infection from contaminated clothes and will make them reusable.
Mark Lapping, the CEO of AquaPak, affirmed the company’s support to UK-based plastic bag manufacturers in the process of switching production from polythene to Hydropol bags.
3. TEQ, a Sonoco acquired packaging company
